Ballet Memphis
Founded in 1986 by Artistic Director Dorothy Gunther Pugh, Memphis' nationally lauded, professional dance company is known for its innovative, classically based repertoire that reflects true American dance. The Company performs at the historic Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Memphis, Playhouse on the Square in Midtown Memphis, as well as at non-traditional venues throughout the city. Ballet Memphis has performed with rave reviews in Paris, New York, Washington DC, Houston and Quebec.
