The Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum is a Smithsonian Affiliate, and its original exhibition was developed by the Smithsonian Institution in 2000. It tells the story of musical giants who overcame racial and socio-economic barriers to create the music that shook the world. Located at 191 Beale Street at FedExForum, the museum offers a comprehensive Memphis music experience from the 1930s, through Memphis's musical explosion to its global influence.
