Overton Park Shell Free Concert Series

Aug. 23–Oct. 23, 2025
Free live music every week at the historic amphitheater where Elvis performed his first show? Yes please! The Overton Park Shell brings back its ultra-popular free shows this fall with a lineup of touring and local acts on Fridays and Saturdays. Picnics and coolers are welcome, or grab dinner from one of the many food trucks. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and settle in for some feel-good music this fall. The Shell even partners with Deaf Connect of the Mid-South to feature American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters at each show.

Cooper-Young Festival

Sept. 13, 2025
Attend the biggest one-day festival in the state of Tennessee in the “historically hip” arts district of Cooper-Young this year with over 400 artisan vendors from around the country selling their artwork and crafts, plus multiple music stages and great things to eat and drink.

Orpheum Broadway Series

Continues September 2025
The historic Orpheum Theatre hosts traveling Broadway shows for their 2025-2026 season, including Austen’s Pride (Sept. 9-10, 2025), A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical (Oct. 7-12, 2025), The Notebook (Oct. 28–Nov. 2, 2025), & Juliet (Nov. 25-30, 2025) and more through July 2026.

B.B. King's 100th Birthday Outdoor Festival

Sept. 14, 2025
A free, all-ages music festival and block party will take over Beale Street, outside of B.B. King's Blues Club, to celebrate the 100th birthday of the King of Blues. The blues club is hosting live performances by Eric Gales, Rodd Bland, Mr. Sipp, Corey Lou & DaVillage Band and more. Family-friendly fun includes Grizzline Drumline, the Beale Street Flippers, and activities for the kids.

Gonerfest 22

Sept. 25-28, 2025
The 22nd annual celebration of punk rock returns in 2025 with three days of shows from over 30 bands, including Lightning Bolt, Radioactivity, Silkworm, W.I.T.C.H., Snooper and many more. Wiseacre Brewing Company on Broad Ave. (Saturday) and Overton Park Shell (Sunday) play host to this year's festival.

Southern Heritage Classic

Sept. 27, 2025
The historic annual football game is back! This year, the Arkansas-Pine Bluff (UAPB) Golden Lions will take on the Alcorn State University Braves at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis. This year’s 36th annual Southern Heritage Classic game is on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, with pre-game tailgating and Battle of the Bands, plus the legendary halftime show featuring the schools' bands.

Memphis Oktoberfests

September–October 2025
What’s more autumnal than grabbing a stein of Märzen at a local Oktoberfest? Luckily, Memphis has many. With a full roster of fall fests and Oktoberfests around the city from late September to late October, there are plenty of chances to quench your thirst and get in the spirit. One of the last events of the season takes place on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, with the 3rd annual Oktoberfest at Overton Square. Prost to some traditional German beer and food, polka and folk music, fun games and a market for shopping. 
Come dressed in your lederhosen.

Mempho Music Festival

Oct. 3-5, 2025
Catch three days of silent disco, art installations, interactive event spaces and live music featuring headliners Widespread Panic, Tyler Childers, The Flaming Lips, Charley Crockett, Father John Misty and more at Radians Amphitheater at Memphis Botanic Garden for the annual Mempho Music Festival.

Memphis Bacon & Bourbon Festival

Oct. 10, 2025
Head to the FedEx Event Center at Shelby Farms for smoky flavors and smooth spirits at the Bacon & Bourbon Festival, hosted by the Memphis Flyer. Tickets to this tasting event include 12 samples of a variety of bourbons and creative bacon-inspired dishes. Live music, merriment and party activities round out the experience.

Edge Motorfest

Oct. 11, 2025
Admire more than 150 classic cars from across the country, as well as 40-plus Mercury beauties, at this fundraiser car show at the Edge Motor Museum. The International Mercury Owners Association will be judging its national event at the show too. Stick around for live music and lots of food options.

Memphis Country Blues Festival

Oct. 11, 2025
Part of the Orion Financial Free Concert Series, this special event will feature the toe-tapping rhythms of the Sensational Barnes Brothers and North Mississippi Allstars at the Overton Park Shell. Check out food trucks like Smoke & Ice and Pok Cha while you enjoy the tunes.

Don't miss exciting shows at FedExForum this fall, starting with Uncle Charlie's R&B Cookout on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025. Featuring legendary acts like Babyface, Charlie Wilson, K-Ci Hailey and El DeBarge, this soul-infused celebration will bring the powerhouse vocals and good vibes. Then on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, GRAMMY Award-winning artists Brandy and Monica will co-headline their The Boy Is Mine tour. Special guests include Kelly Rowland, Muni Long and Jamal Roberts.

This festival celebrates the brewing tradition of founding America and features regional craft breweries. Tickets include a 2025 Beerfest mug, unlimited samples of beer and a great time. Goner Records will be supplying tunes, and food will be available for purchase from local food trucks.

Hoops for St. Jude Tip Off Classic

Oct. 27, 2025
This high-energy showcase benefitting the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will feature thrilling games between the University of Memphis and Vanderbilt University women's basketball teams, as well as the men's basketball teams for University of Memphis and University of Arkansas. If you can't make it in person, the games will air on ESPNU.
