This year splits the weekend into two unforgettable vibes: an electric, bass-heavy Friday night led by EDM innovator Pretty Lights, and a full-throttle Widespread Panic takeover spanning Saturday and Sunday — two nights, four sets, and one of the most devoted fanbases in music. Since its founding in 2017, Mempho has hosted acts ranging from Janelle Monáe and Brandi Carlile to Wu-Tang Clan and Jack White. The festival spotlights local talent, too, with curated sets from Memphis favorites like Grammy-winning bassist MonoNeon, Devil Train, and Degenerate Breakfast.
Friday, October 9 — EDM takes the main stage
Kick the weekend off under the lights with Pretty Lights headlining a night built for dancing. Expect a genre-bending, bass-forward set from the electro-soul pioneer, backed by a lineup that spans indie rock and livetronica: Spoon, STS9, and Broken Social Scene, plus Memphis locals Degenerate Breakfast and Zoë Dominguez. This is Mempho at its most electric.
Saturday & Sunday, October 10–11 — Widespread Panic, twice over
Widespread Panic returns to Mempho for the fourth time — and this year they're not just headlining one night, they're playing two full sets each night across Saturday and Sunday. Few bands command a following like Panic's: their fans cross state lines for every tour stop, know every note by heart, and turn each show into part concert, part reunion. It's the kind of built-in energy that doesn't need a new album or a viral moment to fill an amphitheater — just a loyal crowd who's been waiting to sing along again.
Saturday's bill also brings contemporary blues force Gary Clark Jr., Tom Petty collaborator Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs, hip-hop legends De La Soul, powerhouse singer-songwriter Maggie Rose, and New Orleans funk outfit Dumpstaphunk — plus a special guest appearance from pianist Chuck Leavell (The Rolling Stones, The Allman Brothers Band).
Sunday closes out the festival with reggae royalty Ziggy Marley, Southern rock staple JJ Grey & Mofro, genre-blurring legends Fishbone, Memphis native MonoNeon, bluegrass rising star Sierra Hull, and local favorites Devil Train.
