About
The TigerMan Karate Dojo & Museum is a one-of-a-kind Memphis attraction where music, martial arts, and history meet. This historic dojo is where Elvis Presley trained in Karate under the legendary Grandmaster Kang Rhee, founder of Pasaryu Karate, and filmed scenes for a planned martial arts movie,“The New American Gladiators.”
Visitors can explore rare Elvis memorabilia, including one-of-a-kind pieces tied to his Karate journey, as well as unique items from Jerry Lee Lewis and other celebrities. The museum features detailed displays honoring Kang Rhee and the legacy of Pasaryu Karate, offering a deeper look into a side of Elvis’s life many fans have never experienced.
Guests can also stand on the very dojo floor where Elvis trained and even participate in a Karate experience session, receiving a commemorativeCertificate of Pasaryu Practice as a keepsake.
Whether you’re an Elvis fan, a martial arts enthusiast, or simply seeking a unique Memphis experience, the TigerMan Karate Dojo & Museum is a can’t-miss stop that celebrates the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s passion for Karate and the cultural history surrounding it.
