Third Thursday Trek at Overton Park

The Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku translates to "taking in the forest atmosphere," but is commonly called "forest bathing." It's the art of using all one's senses to notice and appreciate the living forest, and it has benefits for physical and mental health. But how exactly does forest bathing work on our minds and bodies?

We'll explore the science of shinrin-yoku during Overton Park Conservancy’s October Third Thursday Trek, and then practice a mindful stroll to activate our senses.

This program will be held on natural surface trails, limestone trails, and pavement surfaces. 

This event is pay-what-you-can, with a suggested contribution of $3 per person.
