The Youth Villages Runner's Club engages youth in our residential treatment programs in weekly training runs and monthly 5K races. If you are looking for an opportunity to engage with children that have mental, emotional and behavioral needs and also get some exercise, this is the program for you! Our youth adore having someone to run (or walk) with, not only is it motivating, but it also teaches them health relationships and social skills. With weekly and monthly volunteer opportunities on weekdays, as well as the weekends, it's easy to fit Runner's Club into your schedule.
Weekly Runners Club Schedule:
Dogwood Campus (2890 Bekemeyer Drive, Arlington, TN 38002): Mondays from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Bartlett Campus (7410 Memphis Arlington Road, Memphis, TN 38135): Tuesdays from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Please note that in order to volunteer we ask that you be at least 21 or older, willing to complete a background check, confidentiality and liability waiver, vaccination attestation form, and a short, one hour training.
