Block Printing with Danny Broadway

Beyond the ink and rubber, we are stepping into a lineage of visual storytelling. From the ancient Adinkra symbols of Ghana to the community-driven print shops of the Black Arts Movement, block printing has always been a way for our community to make its mark. Come carve out your own story.

DeltaARTS will host a block printing workshop for Black History Month where ages 12+ can dive into the creative process of block printing repeat patterns on fabrics. Together we will learn the basics of designing, carving, and printing your rubber carving blocks to create your own design! Join printmaking artist Danny Broadway to begin a new hobby or refresh what you already practice.

Space is limited, supplies must be prepared ahead of time so please register to attend before February 22th. This community event is available free to the public thanks to our partnership with the West Memphis School District, where we are leaving footprints for success.
