Satellite Music Hall, the new Live Nation venue built alongside Crosstown Concourse, is opening its doors this September, and it's shaping up to be a solid addition to the Memphis music scene. Here's everything we know so far.
About the Venue
Satellite Music Hall sits at 1291 Autumn Ave, right next to Crosstown Concourse in Midtown, and holds 1,300 people across roughly 32,000 square feet. Memphis-based Archimania designed the building (with Grinder Taber Grinder as the builder) in partnership with Live Nation and Crosstown Concourse, and it's set to open with a weekend of shows September 4–5, 2026.
Its name ties back to Memphis music history: Satellite Records was the original name of Stax Records before it became the label the world knows today, so Satellite Music Hall is a direct nod to that legacy.
Inside, the venue has a standing-room main floor for general admission tickets and a mezzanine level for elevated views of the show.
There's also the Vinyl Room which will serve as a premium space with its own private entrance to offer elevated cocktails and dining, live DJs and hi-fi turntables inspired by 1970s Japanese listening rooms. The Vinyl Room operates as a paid upgrade on top of a show ticket. Initial prices show these tickets go for $30-$40 a person.
The Calendar Is Already Stacked
Satellite isn't easing into things with nearly 30 shows are already on the books between the September 2 preview night and the end of the year, and the range is all over the map. Opening weekend goes to hometown favorites The Band CAMINO on September 4 and 5, and from there the calendar swings through Chance the Rapper, Isaiah Rashad, Valerie June, Judah & the Lion, GWAR, Project Pat, Umphrey's McGee, Modest Mouse, Ryan Bingham, Mastodon, We Came As Romans, Iron & Wine, Prof, Fetty Wap, Bowling for Soup, and Pouya, with themed dance nights and a comedy show from KevOnStage mixed in for good measure.
Basically, whatever you're into, there's a good chance it's already on the calendar. Plus more shows are still being added.
The Band CAMINO Kicks It Off with Two Nights + Live Recording Album
The honor of christening Satellite Music Hall goes to The Band CAMINO, who headline both nights of opening weekend, September 4 and 5. It's a full-circle moment for the trio, who've built a devoted following and racked up over a billion streams since coming up through the Memphis scene.
Both nights are being recorded for the band's upcoming live album. That means the very first sounds to fill Satellite Music Hall will end up preserved on a record.
Parking & Getting There
Satellite sits right across from Crosstown Concourse's parking garage, so parking for shows works the same way it does for the rest of the Concourse with the exception of a lot outside of the parking garage dedicated to premier parking. Under amenities, you can find your show from the dropdown and add on parking for $30
Otherwise, here's how Crosstown Concourses parking works.
- Free parking from 4:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily
- Paid parking from 6 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. — which covers most evening show times, so budget for that
- Parking is managed through the Metropolis app (set up an account ahead of time at app.metropolis.io to skip any fumbling at the gate)
- Businesses inside Crosstown Concourse offer free parking validation if you're grabbing dinner or a drink before the show — just make sure the validation gets applied to your Metropolis account before you head out
Additional ticket add-ons under amenities includes a fast lane access pass, coat check and a bottomless soda and popcorn voucher.
