The Peabody Hotel Lobby Bar

149 Union Ave.
Memphis, TN 38103

While the area is expansive, it has a cozy, welcoming ambience. The marble floors and stately columns are softened by plush, comfortable sofas and chairs, and lighting which soothes furrowed brows. The eye is drawn upwards to the beautiful stained glass ceiling, and the painted, beamed ceiling.

The central focus of The Lobby Bar at The Peabody Memphis, of course, is the world-famous sculpted fountain. Carved from a single piece of Travertine marble, the fountain is home to the hotel's longest continuous guests - The Peabody Ducks. For over fifty years, The Peabody Memphis has had a "web site" - five North American Mallards who continue to charm hotel visitors, some of whom are descendants of couples who married at the hotel.

The Lobby Bar beats to the pulse of a rejuvenated city and the accompaniment of the lobby's baby grand piano, a mixture of good music and good times. This is The place to see and be seen.
