The South Side Wildcats organization is proud to announce, “Grooving Through the Decades: Celebrating 15 Years of South Side Wildcats Excellence,” an evening of music, culture, conversation, and community impact. The event will take place on Friday, July 18th at 6:30 PM at the legendary Stax Museum of American Soul Music in Memphis, TN.
This Event is only for adults to attend
The evening will feature:
- A live band and live art experience, including the original work available for bid
- Interactive museum access and curated organization exhibits
- A community-centered panel discussion titled “Youth and the State of Our City,” moderated by global education leader LaShundra Richmond
Esteemed panelists include:
- Brian Harris, Director, Memphis Office of Youth Services
- Leshundra Robinson, Nonprofit Consultant
- Mickell Lowery, Shelby County Commissioner, District 8
Attendees are encouraged to dress in their best 70s, 80s, or 90s attire and prepare for a nostalgic evening rooted in purpose. This adults-only fundraising celebration supports the South Side Wildcats’ continued work with student-athletes in South Memphis. Tickets are $75 and include admission, entertainment, access to museum exhibits, food and drink, and a seat at the conversation shaping the next generation.
