Southwest Tennessee Community College 2025 Homecoming Festivities
This year Southwest celebrates Homecoming with a milestone 25th Anniversary. The community-at-large is invited to join in three marquee events designed to highlight the college’s legacy of achievement and community spirit. The events take place at the Union Avenue Campus, 737 Union Avenue, Memphis, Tenn., 38103.
Silver Saluqi Mixer
Date & Time: Thursday, October 30 | 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Location: Nathan Essex Nursing, Natural Sciences, and Biotechnology Building (Nursing Building) lobby
This year’s mixer carries the theme “Silver Saluqi” — a nod to the institution’s milestone 25 years of service to the Mid-South region. The informal evening includes networking, refreshments, photo opportunities, a trip down memory lane, and a chance to toast the quarter-century mark of the college.
Accolades Brunch | Honoring Saluqi Hall of Fame Athletes
Date & Time: Friday, November 1 | 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Location: Building B-106
The Accolades Brunch is a distinguished ceremony honoring the achievements and lasting contributions of this year’s Saluqi Hall of Fame inductees. Ten individuals will be recognized for their outstanding accomplishments, exemplary leadership, and positive impact on the community. The honorees are (Basketball) Steve Ballard, Lorico Duncan, John Grice and Lester Hudson; (Women’s Basketball) Amie Williams and Ashley Shields; (Baseball) Johnie Sanfratello and Nick Smith; (Softball) Amber Hayes and Alex Turner.
