To celebrate Memphis upcoming 207th birthday, Shelby County Commissioner Charlie Caswell Jr., and other city leaders are hosting the Memphis Hope Festival on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 02:00 p.m. to 08:00 p.m. at Tom Lee Park.
With the support of the Shelby County Government, the City of Memphis, Hope Center, Agape Child and Family Services, and multiple faith-based organizations, this year’s birthday aims to celebrate the best Memphis has to offer — a day of fun for families, expungement services, resources, local vendors, food trucks, children activities, sports events, live entertainment, local artists, and family fun to kickoff an amazing birthday.
A highlight of the event will include the highly anticipated County vs City Basketball Game, an evening concert series, and a fireworks show to close out the festivities.
This event aims to create a Hope-Centered city that demonstrates hope, improves public safety, health, educational success, economic mobility, and unity. This will be a transformative event that brings together culture, data, direct services, and civic pride in one powerful day of activation that will resonate throughout our community.
