Celebrate Culture, Community, and Connection at the United Festival

This September, Memphis is coming together for an evening of music, dance, art, and conversation as La Prensa Latina and Bilingual Media Group present the United Festival—a free, family-friendly celebration of Hispanic and Latino culture open to all.

đź“… Date: 9/14/2025
📍 Location: Beale Street Landing, 251 Riverside Drive, Memphis, TN
🕒 Panel: 3:00 PM — “United Voices” with Amigo Community Center
🎉 Festival: 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Start the Day with Meaningful Conversation

Before the festival kicks off, join us at 3:00 PM for the United Voices panel in partnership with the Amigo Community Center. This conversation will bring together community leaders and advocates to share stories, ideas, and experiences that strengthen connections across cultures.

Art for the Next Generation

The United Festival is giving Memphis’s young artists a chance to shine with a Children’s Art Contest “What Hispanic Heritage Means to You”. Kids will have 45 minutes at our art station to create their masterpiece, with two age categories:

  • Ages 5–8
  • Ages 9–12

A panel of judges will select a winner from each category. It’s a celebration of creativity, imagination, and the incredible talent of Memphis’s youth.

Music, Dance, and Cultural Performances

From the energy of Brazilian samba to the grace of Mexican folkloric dance and the passion of Cuban rhythms, the United Festival stage will come alive with performances from across Latin America. This is your chance to see, hear, and feel the heartbeat of cultures from around the world—all right here in Memphis.

Come Hungry for Fun

The United Festival will feature a variety of food and beverage vendors offering flavors inspired by Latin American cuisine. Whether you’re looking for a savory snack, a sweet treat, or something refreshing to sip while you enjoy the performances, you’ll find plenty of delicious options to keep you fueled for the fun.

Why You Should Go

The United Festival is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of community. Whether you have deep roots in Hispanic and Latino heritage or are simply curious to learn and experience something new, this is your invitation to join in.

  • It’s free and open to all
  • It’s a fun, safe, family-friendly evening on the river
  • It’s an opportunity to connect with neighbors and experience cultures from around the world
  • It’s Memphis at its best—welcoming, diverse, and full of life

A Riverfront Finale You Won’t Forget

As the sun sets over the Mississippi, the celebration will shine even brighter with The Mighty Lights show. The iconic Memphis Hernando De Soto Bridge will be illuminated in the bold, vibrant colors of the Mexican flag and other Latin American countries, creating a stunning tribute to the cultures honored at the United Festival. It’s the perfect way to end an evening of music, dance, and togetherness on the riverfront.

Come early, stay late, and bring the whole family. The United Festival is ready to welcome you with open arms.
