Triumph Like A Girl - Exploring Women Through Song - Patrick Jones, Baritone / Jim Cornfoot, Pianist

This FREE concert explore the perspectives of women through music composed either for women or by women. Featured composers are: Robert Schumann, Florence Price, Timothy Takach, and Rene Orth.

Jim Cornfoot is a reputable pianist in the Memphis area. He is the director of Classical Blue Music Academy, where he maintains a full studio of piano and voice students. In addition to being a sought-after pianist, he is also a conductor, having served numerous ensembles in the area, most notably, the Rhodes Mastersingers.

Patrick Jones is a singer that is equally at home singing art song and opera as he is jazz and musical theatre. He has been seen onstage with Theatre Memphis, Opera Memphis, Fort Worth Opera, and Tri-Cities Opera, among others. He is also a devoted teacher, teaching elementary through high school music.
