The Department of World Languages and Literatures at the University of Memphis is proud to present the 16th Annual Hispanic Film Festival in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. The festival will feature four recent films at the University of Memphis Center Theater (UC 145), along with a special screening at the Dixon Gallery & Gardens (4339 Park Avenue, Memphis, TN), and another special screening at the Brooks Museum. All films will be presented in Spanish with English subtitles and will start at 6:00 PM CDT. Admission is free.

  • September 30 – UoM: Clara Sola (Costa Rica, 2021), Nathalie Álvarez Mesén.
  • Oct. 2 – Dixon: Historias lamentables (Sorry Tales) (Spain, 2020), Javier Fesser.
  • Oct. 8 – UoM: Borderlands (USA, 2024), Pamela Yates.
  • Oct. 11 – Brooks: Borderlands (USA, 2024), Pamela Yates.
  • October 16 – UoM: Cerdita (Piggy) (Spain, 2019), Carlota Pereda.

 

The 16th Annual Hispanic Film Festival was made possible by the support of the University of MemphisDixon Gallery and Gardens, Brooks Museum, and the Spanish Embassy at Houston.

 

Convenient and affordable parking can be found in the Zach Curlin Parking Garage directly across from the University Center.
