Brother Juniper's
Brother Juniper's is breakfast heaven. The smell of fresh baked breads and rich coffee gives you a warm invitation to get comfy and get full.
You may think that their breakfast menu would typical – basic eggs, bacon, biscuits. Not so at Brother Juniper's. There are Portobello mushroom and roasted pepper omelets, pesto-tomato omelets. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options such as tofu and veggie omelets.
The San Diegan, a bed of home fries topped with portabellas, feta, cheddar, bacon and tomatoes, is a favorite of Food Network star, Rachel Ray, visitors and locals alike.
If your mouth hasn't started watering yet, wait until you hear about their hand-baked goodies like cinnamon rolls, banana nut bread or whole wheat biscuits with their own (no sugar added) fruit spreads. Top it off with a cup of rich, dark coffee and you're good to go.
Lines can get long, so be prepared for a wait, especially on the weekend.
