Sip and Stroll (21+) at Memphis Botanic Garden
July 2, 2026 | 6–8 p.m.
Kick off the first Thursday of the month with a relaxed after-hours walking tour on July 2 through the Radians Amphitheater at Memphis Botanic Garden. Stroll the Walk of Stars, step on the stage, and hear all about the Live at the Garden concert series while sipping two themed cocktails or mocktails included with your $35 tickets.

Cue the sparklers — it's time to celebrate! Fireworks shows are popping up all over the Mid-South including Independence Day on the River at Tom Lee Park on July 4 from 6–9 p.m. with live entertainment, food trucks, and a drone show and fireworks spectacular to close out the night, the Memphis Redbirds hosting the largest fireworks show in AutoZone Park history on July 4, and Graceland's Red-Hot 4th of July Weekend July 4–6 with an Elvis Tribute Artist concert and fireworks party on July 5. Memphis Redbirds
July 2026
The Redbirds are home for three series this month with 11 games at AutoZone Park. The Charlotte Knights kick things off July 2–5 for the Red, White & Boom Weekend — America's 250th birthday bash with postgame fireworks on July 3 and the largest fireworks show in AutoZone Park history on July 4, plus Dinosaur Day on July 5 with a free dino jersey for the first 500 kids. The Iowa Cubs come to town July 17–19 featuring world-renowned competitive eating champion Joey "Jaws" Chestnut on July 18 plus postgame fireworks, and Christmas in July on July 19 with a free ugly sweater t-shirt giveaway. The Durham Bulls close out the month July 23–26 with postgame fireworks on July 25. Every Thursday has $2 PBR beers, every Friday is $5 Fiesta Friday with margaritas and street tacos, and Sunday games feature kids running the bases and an optional Sunday Brunch with bottomless mimosas in the air-conditioned Coors Light Chill Zone. Café Society: Art and Sociability in Paris, 1855–1914

More than 50 works from public and private collections in the U.S. and Europe come together at the Dixon this summer to trace the rise of Parisian café culture — and how those smoky, sociable spaces transformed both daily life and art-making. Café Society moves through the French Revolution, Haussmann's reimagining of Paris, and the Franco-Prussian War to show how the café became a crossroads for artists, writers, and ordinary Parisians alike, and ultimately a subject of the art itself. On view through September 6, Tuesday–Sunday 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Peabody Rooftop Parties
Thursdays in July, 2026
The hottest rooftop party in Memphis is still going strong through July with five Thursday night parties this month. Doors open at 6 p.m. with bands from 7–10 p.m. This month's lineup features DJ A.D. and the Vibe Tribe (July 2), Basketcase (July 9), Saturday Sunset (July 16), Thomas Cain (July 23), and M-80's (July 30). General admission is $15, VIP is $40. 21+ only.
Sweeney Todd at Playhouse on the Square

Sondheim's darkly brilliant musical gets the full treatment in this co-production with Opera Memphis. Sweeney Todd — wrongly exiled to Australia by the corrupt Judge Turpin — returns to London after 15 years with vengeance on his mind and a razor in his hand. With the help of the resourceful (and resourcefully horrifying) Mrs. Lovett, he sets his plan in motion above her Fleet Street pie shop. Evening performances run through July 12, with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

An Evening with Wilco

Grind City Amp is newly open and already landing acts like this. Only in Memphis: the Memphis Wine Society pairs French wines with Rendezvous BBQ for an evening of tasting and education at one of the city's most iconic restaurants on July 8. 10th Annual Ed Murphey Classic

The 10th Annual Ed Murphey Classic brings elite track and field back to the Bluff City on July 10, and this year is bigger than ever — the event serves as a stop on the brand-new USA Track & Field World Shot Put Series, featuring Ryan Crouser, World Record holder and three-time Olympic Champion. Music, food trucks, beer, and a fan zone round out the day, with Beale Street Games continuing the action on July 11. Proceeds support local youth programs.

Anime Blues Con
July 10–12, 2026
Now in its 14th year, Anime Blues Con is the largest anime convention in West Tennessee — and it's back at the Renasant Convention Center July 10–12. Hundreds of hours of programming, cosplay, gaming, panels, vendors, and special events pack the three-day weekend, drawing fans from across the Mid-South. Convention hours are Friday noon–11:30 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.–11:30 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Parking is available at the garage at 266 N. Front St. for $11.41 with advance reservation.
Midtown Smackdown
July 11, 2026 | Doors 6 p.m., Fights 7–10 p.m.
Memphis Armored Fight Club is back in Midtown and the knights are ready to throw down. Watch full-contact armored combat — real steel, real hits, all in good fun — as new fighters and fan favorites battle it out at Growlers on July 11. All ages welcome. HEAT.WAV at Wiseacre Brewing HQ

Sunset Jazz at Court Square

The free Sunset Jazz concert series returns to Court Square on July 12 featuring Memphis jazz artist and educator Kenny Reed, an active performer, composer, and instructor of the Memphis Jazz Workshop known for his work across big band and orchestral ensembles. Live at the Garden: Little Big Town

Country's powerhouse harmony group Little Big Town brings their catalog to the Radians Amphitheater inside Memphis Botanic Garden on July 16. Memphis Classic: WTA 250
July 25–August 2, 2026
Professional women's tennis returns to Memphis for the first time in 15 years with the Memphis Classic, a WTA 250 tournament at the Leftwich Tennis Center. The full 32-player singles draw will be confirmed closer to the event, but former U.S. Open champion Sloane Stephens has already accepted a wildcard. Kick off the tournament on July 25 at 7 p.m. with the Nothing Major Exhibition — John Isner and Sam Querrey, who famously competed for the 2010 Memphis singles title, reunite alongside Stevie Johnson for a night of doubles, mixed doubles with two WTA pros, and plenty of surprises.
