Welcome to Memphis, St. Jude Marathon runners. Thanks for your support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We hope that as you pass the patients that line the course that you stay motivated and inspired to do your very best.

To make sure you have the best experience possible in Memphis, we have a few tips for your stay.

Race Info

• Pick up your race packet before race day. They don’t allow pickups the day of the race.
• Both the marathon and half marathon start at 8 a.m. (note that Memphis in the Central Time Zone).
• You’ll find a number of downtown Memphis parking garages located near the start and finish lines. Parking lots closer to AutoZone Park typically fill-up first and traffic on race morning can be heavy, so plan to arrive early.

• During your race you’ll pass some of the city’s most popular landmarks and attractions including the Mississippi River, Beale Street, Sun Studio (where Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, B.B. King and U2 have all recorded), the National Civil Rights Museum and the campus of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Dining in Memphis

• Downtown Memphis is packed with great restaurants including fine dining at Felicia Suzanne's, tasty burgers at Local Gastropub and Memphis barbecue at Rendezvous.
• Carb load at some of our favorite Italian inspired restaurants like Pa Pa Pia's, Spindini or Old Venice Pizza.

After the race

• Unwind after the race by checking out great music on Beale Street or by visiting one of the great exhibits at the Brooks Museum or Dixon Gallery and Gardens.
• Memphis has plenty of family-friendly events and attractions to keep everyone happy. Check out the Fire Museum, The Children's Museum of Memphis or catch the duck march at the Peabody Hotel. 
• Cool down with the pandas, polar bears and lions at the Memphis Zoo and their ice skating rink.
• Stay an extra day and soak in the culture of Memphis. Check out Graceland, Sun Studio, Stax Museum of American Soul Music or other trip ideas on our site.
