Itta Bena

Nestled away on the third floor of B.B. King’s Blues Club on Beale is an elegant slice of Delta cuisine at Itta Bena. In stark contrast to the party going on downstairs, Itta Bena offers a laid back – but posh – atmosphere with dimmed lights and soft music. Their menu features Southern favorites with a Delta influence. Begin the adventure with one of their signature appetizers such as ‘Nawlins-style barbecued shrimp, jump lump crab cakes or a cup of she-crab soup. For the main course, who could resist their shrimp and grits (buttermilk Delta Grind grits to be exact) or their duck and waffles complete with blueberry sauce. Of course, any of their Black Angus steaks are always a good choice.

Whatever you do, save room for one of their sumptuous desserts: white chocolate bread pudding, crème brulee or carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. They have great signature dessert drinks and an extensive wine list.

Itta Bena is a great (secret) retreat when you want to indulge in the finer side of dining.
