WHAT IS THE WGC-FEDEX ST. JUDE INVITATIONAL?

For over 60 years, Memphis hosted the FedEx St. Jude Classic, a professional golf tournament that benefited St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. (In fact, more than $48M has been raised to date for the Memphis-based hospital that treats patients from around the world, regardless of their ability to pay.) In 2018, FedEx took over sponsorship of the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational tournament and brought the event to Memphis, rebranding it the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational. The tournament field includes the top 50 players in the Official World Golf Rankings. Past tournaments have drawn headliners including Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka and last year's winner Justin Thomas.

WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON AT THE EVENT?

If you're hungry during the event, get to "The Pit,” a fan activation featuring four of the most popular barbecue joints in Memphis: Central BBQ, The Commissary, HOG WILD and The Rendezvous. You'll find "The Pit" in the shade between the eighth green and ninth tee (or just follow the smoke and mouthwatering aroma of low- and slow-cooked meat).
