NIRSA NCCS National Soccer Championships, November 15 - 17

The 19th annual NIRSA National Campus Championship Series (NCCS) National Soccer Championships will be held in Memphis, Tenn. at Mike Rose Soccer Complex November 15-17, 2012.

A total of 96 college soccer teams consisting of 48 men’s and 48 women’s teams from across the United States will be participating in tournament play. The tournament is expected to generate more than 3,000 hotel room nights. The NIRSA NCCS National Soccer Championships are also scheduled to return in 2014 as the result of a commitment made to the Memphis Sports Council and Mike Rose Soccer Complex.

“It’s a huge economic benefit for Memphis and Shelby County to be hosting such an enormous tournament,” said Malvin Gipson, director of the Memphis Sports Council. “These teams not only bring players and coaches but family and friends, which has a positive impact on Memphis and Shelby County’s tourism industry.”

“Mike Rose Soccer Complex is one of the premiere soccer venues in the country,” said Simon Lacon, assistant general manager of Mike Rose Soccer Complex. “Thanks to this facility, it’s really put Memphis on the map when it comes to attracting tournaments the size of NIRSA’s.”

The tournament will be free and open to the public. For more information about the schedule, visit www.nirsa.org/soccer.
