The secret is out. Blind Bear, a prohibition-style speakeasy may not always require a password to get in, but the atmosphere sends you back to the 30s with its décor. Although it is predominantly a lounge, they have a fairly extensive menu including fried mozzarella “bear balls,” sausage & cheese plate, burgers and fish. If you want to get in on Friday and Saturday nights, you may not need the secret knock, but you will need the password which is posted on Facebook and Twitter (and on Thursday nights during the summer months). Although the theme is 1930s, it is completely modern with TVs, pool tables, plush chairs, and couches. There is trivia night on Wednesdays and poker night on Tuesdays. Great late night place since the kitchen stays open until 2 a.m. and the bar until 3 a.m. The bar allows smoking so it’s 21 and up.
