Due to safety concerns along with adequate and safe ingress and egress the Convention Center’s parking garage will be out of service beginning Thursday, October 17, 2019 until February 24, 2020.

Guests attending events in the Cannon Center or Memphis Convention Center are encouraged to park in the River Parks (Mud Island) Garage at Front and Poplar. Other lots can also be found by using the Premium park app or the Park Whiz parking app. Additional parking information can be found on the Downtown Memphis Commission's website at https://www.downtownmemphis.com/getting-around/parking/

The Memphis Symphony Orchestra provides valet parking for all of their scheduled events. Guests looking to use that service will go to the corner of Exchange and Main Street.

TRANSPORTATION UPDATES:

During the period of October 7, 2019 through May 1, 2020, all lanes of Front Street between Poplar and Jackson Avenues will be closed to thru traffic except for a limited access entrance to patrons entering the garage for events in both the Cannon Center and the Memphis Convention Center.  For those exiting the Hernando DeSoto Bridge at Exit 1, East Bound I-40, vehicles will be directed to take the first ramp to Riverside Dr. and continue south to Jefferson Avenue.

The Front Street closure is a necessary but a temporary measure to ensure the safety of all road users during this period of the renovation of the Memphis Convention Center. During the closure, significant interior and exterior improvements including ongoing construction activity that will require the usage of the road by the construction team. The result of work taking place during this time will produce a modern pass through on Front Street under the main convention hall, along with the addition of new meeting room space on the West side of the facility.
