Makeda's Homemade Butter Cookies

The family business is named in honor of Makeda Hill who was born October 11, 1990. She was the first child of Morris and Willie Mae Hill, the first grandchild as well as the first great-grandchild. Morris Makeda was funny, smart and talented being able to hold a conversation with the president if given an opportunity. 

Before entering the first grade, Makeda was diagnosed with Leukemia. The St. Jude staff was great but Makeda loss her battle July 1997. In 1999, Makeda was born again when production began on Makeda's Homemade Butter Cookies, the home of butterific love and the best butter cookies in the world. 

Two locations: 2370 Airways Blvd and 488 S. Second. Cookies are also available in local grocery stores.
