The Cupboard Restaurant

1400 Union Ave.
Memphis, TN 38104

Established in 1943, The Cupboard has proudly served Memphis some of the best Southern specialties and down-home cooking. Readers of The Memphis Flyer have voted it the Best Down-Home and Best Down-Home/Soul Food in the city.

At the Cupboard, you will be greeted with a smile to some of the best meat plus three dishes around - with a special of the day. Southern specialties including freshly prepared veggies including eggplant casserole, crowder peas, turnip greens and corn pudding. Chicken-fried chicken with milk gravy, fried or grilled catfish, or chicken and dressing are just a few of the many entrees offered on a daily basis. All served with fresh yeast rolls or homemade corn bread. Top it off with some homemade banana pudding, and you're set.

Down-home breakfasts with ham, sausage, bacon, eggs, omelets, full stacks of pancakes or french toast - all affordably priced and served with a steaming cup of coffee. A great way to face the morning.

Tour busses welcome - The Cupboard is spacious enough to accommodate large groups.
