Ghost River Brewery Tours

Fresh, clean Memphis water begun bubbling out of the ground in 1887 and today you reap the benefits as the magicians at Ghost River Brewing Company have transformed this great water into quality Memphis beer.

Located at 887 S. Main Street in Memphis, Ghost River brews three main beers that are available year round.

The popular Golden Ale

A mellow beer fueled by Munich and caramel malts rounded off with a nice crisp, dry finish. Call your closest friends because Golden Ale is the perfect summer patio or Mississippi River watching beer.

Cooperhead Red

Started out as a beer brewed for the Memphis Redbirds (Triple-A affiliate baseball team to the St. Louis Cardinals). Now available throughout the region, Cooperhead Red fits right in with the baseball game atmosphere and pairs nice with anything off the grill – from hamburgers to steaks.

Glacial Pale Ale

With an amazing brilliant amber color, a complex flavor and a hint of mint and citrus. Glacier Pale Ale pairs perfectly with seafood and foods with a little kick to them and has a nice, clean finish.

Ghost River Brewing also produces a variety of seasonal beers that are available off and on throughout the year. In the fall of course you must try their Oktoberfest brew. It’s spot on with the traditional beers served in Germany and is the perfect companion to football, sausage, cheese and bread. In the winter, sipping on the Ghost River Wee Heavy will get you through the cold winter nights. Wee Heavy is a Scottish Style Ale brewed with a touch of smoked malt.

Now, you can tour the Ghost River facilities and sample some of their creations. Tours are offered every Saturday at 1 p.m. Please check their website or email [email protected] for availability and additional information. Reservations are recommended.

tap room
